I respect everyone's personal decision on which phone they like to use. With that being said, if you ever wanted to keep your family or friends on Samsung (for some odd reason I feel good when I see my fellow Samsung users) here are 3 things to get them hooked on.

    1) Swipe down on notification - With screens being so big these days, this option in the setting menu is godsend. Use this extensively and then trying to use iOS notification pull down becomes atrocious.

    2) Samsung pay - you can use this at the DMV on a pinch. Need I say more?

    3) Secure folder - saved the best for last. This is a game changer. Once you open this app, your idea of what a phone can do changes and left to your own creativity. For work or privacy, I feel pity for those guys at work who carry a 'work' phone and a personal one. Be a geek but not that geek who carries 2 phones everywhere they go.
I'm not comparing this to secure folders. This app makes it feel like you're carrying 2 phones in 1. I even have 2 different phone numbers cuz of this app alone.

The rest are small things like One hand operation and Samsung dex but these aren't used daily for most.
If you use these 3 heavily, maybe you understand what I mean. Until another phone has all 3, it'll be hard to switch for me.

If you don't use the top 3 things Together, switching to any phone or platform should be cake. Most phones are the same

The Apple sheep will just laugh if i listed those three things as selling points. I don't bother anymore.

On the flip side and in all fairness.... iMessage and air drop are Android killers.

I keep Note, S10+ but also iPhone X and 11

    Never used iMessage or FaceTime.
Airdrop can be abused if you allow it to be from non contacts.

I don't see those 3 as selling points or must haves.

Eh, I have no use for iMessage. I have better things to do than send really fancy text messages (like, you know, actually talking to people). I'm not particularly excited about RCS either. But I guess I just don't understand these kids today, so they'd better get offa mah lawn.

Sharing photos via Google Photos is also really easy.

While iMessage and airdrop are useful, they are not Android killers

I don’t keep all my eggs in one basket. Three members of my family have to use Applefor reliability and security. The others just buy it bc it works and they’ve become tired of dealing with androids bull. If everyone that I know I have never had a single one of them go from Apple to android. I am the only one that switches back and forth freely. Me and 3 others are the only ones I know out of family and close friends that still use Android. My one friend that I would say is a power user absolutely loves his note 8 but will never upgrade it unless it dies. Even he said he considering getting an iPhone 11 Pro. That actually really surprised me.

I’d say if they want to move then let them. But that’s just me.

This is funny to me because I had one friend who hated Verizon and Android. After dealing with Sprint, and their apparent BS, he and his family switched both at the same time, and the rest as they say is history. Oh and it was a Sammy, one of the first Edge editions.

    1. Nova gestures. This will work on any phone.

    2. Subjective point. This only works as a point if someone has credit card info in their phone.

    3. Subjective point. The people who carry 2 phones may be forced to by the employer. If the employer explicitly wants business and personal contacts separate, or insists on the work device being <insert device here>, this is irrelevant.

None of these points are that compelling to keep someone on a Samsung device. If anything the One hand operation mode and Dex would be better points to keep someone on a Samsung device. However, the extra cost of the Dex could be a turnoff. That and the idea of trying to force someone to stay on a device is counterintuitive. Samsung isn't going to go out of business if a few people jump ship.
