My S10 has been flashed with an unauthorized software and is locked

I saw that my S10 had an update, so I started updating my phone and a few moments later, I get this message with a green screen stating that my phone has been flashed with an unauthorized software and is locked, please contact my carrier. I had no idea what was going on, so I called Samsung and we went through these steps of trying to restart my phone and none worked. So that same day I sent Samsung my phone with the label they emailed me. Fast forwarding to today, I call Samsung to get an update on the repair of my phone and they said that we are sending your phone back because its been rooted and there's nothing that we can do. I need help! Any advice?

did you buy the phone used or new?

First time I've heard of anything like this. Was the phone bought new?

I bought it when it first came out from T-Mobile, I believe that was March of last year. I should be getting my phone today and I will upload a pic.

Can you start the device up ?

I went to T-mobile today and they couldn't do anything for my phone, so they directed me to a store called U BREAK I FIX. U BREAK I FIX said that they would flash my phone, which would take approximately 2 hours to do, and after I came to pick it up and they couldn't do anything as well.

Did they say why they couldn't do anything?

Ok...get to download mode , to do this turn the phone off , when you power it on before screen turns on hold same time power/volume down/Bixby button

U BREAK I FIX said that the flash that they did didn't get pass this security error, which resulted in this same green screen.

If you see on the picture above you , 0x0 warranty means it's not rooted , also you have US version?

Latest Odin can Google it and download should be 3.13.1 or 3.14.1

Latest firmware from sammobile download , which carrier we might have here ?

You will extract files for Odin once download with 7zip and will do same for firmware with 7zip .

There will be 4 files after you extract the firmware
BL
AP
CP
CSC

Each of those files will go in Odin when you open to the corresponding slots
BL
AP
CP
CSC USE HOME CSC FIILE TO SAVE DATA
Home data slot dont put nothing



connect your phone with cable to computer , once the files are in its slots hit start, once done you'll see pass in Odin and it will reboot

After I got it back unfixed, I said the same thing "They don't know what they're doing." I thought I was in good hands once I saw some one guy in a Samsung Care tee, but I guess not lol.

I had this same problem, and these steps worked, I didn't lose any data. Phone is back like nothing happened.

Just for the record:
This problem appeared here after the monthly auto update, something must have gone wrong during the installation.

Welcome to Android Central! What's the exact error message, and when does it appear?

A modem firmware flash would probably fix Abdul's problem with no loss of apps or data.

This steps , flash the firmware again

It will pass but not power on goes to same condition

Go in recovery perform factory reset

There is no option for factory reset

This needs to be evaluated in person, you tried it didn't work out .

Take to repair shop , they going charge a fee for them to fix it. This needs to be seen in person.

Hi, i am in australia and I have same problem with my S10E G970U. i have downloaded Odin 3.14.4 but i do not know which firmware to get from sammobile. my carrier is TPG sim and i think this phone is Android 10. i also noticed phones in australia are G970F. pls help i just bought this brand new unlocked last Jan2021 from an ebay store.

failed again unfortunately. but i did full factory reset and the phone came back to life (without all my apps, data). i made contact with seller and they said they will swap it with another one. so i am not sure if this is going to be refurbished or they'll put another firmware in there like this one i'm doing?

Depends if it's from a reputable seller , but if they going exchange sounds like they willing to help you and seem ok

Hello it seems like you know your stuff. I have a Samsung S7 that said My phone has been flashed with unauthorized software. And it says failed in red on the top left. Then my screen went black and now it says Recovery booting in blue on the top left and the rest of the screen is black. I’m trying to recover my photos off the S7 please help.
