Does the 4K camera record video with grain?

Hello everyone,

I have a rather weird question I suppose... I currently have a Galaxy S8 and when I record in 4k the video is very grainy (searched online and a few forum posts come up with the same problem)

When recording in regular 1080p videos are just fine.

I am in the process of trading in my S8 towards a S10e but if the camera records like that again I see no reason to upgrade (to an S10e or S10)

Any help would be appreciated

What a while until the phone is available and then check the reviews.
“Grain” (actually noise) is going to be on any video under certain conditions, such as less than ideal light. 4K is going to be more prone to show noise because of the extra processing required for it and depending on how the sensor records it (pixel binning or cropped, etc.).
