    I am using ES File Explorer to connect my Galaxy S2 to our network server at work. It works perfectly if I am at work and on wifi. If I disconnect the wifi and try to go through cellular data, it cannot connect to the server. I get the message that 1. WLAN is off. 2. SMB server out of network scope. Etc....

    Any ideas?

    Yup, unless you're in the same network or your work server has a public IP address, there's no way to acess it. I'm not sure but I believe ES only works within the same network, I don't think you can specify server IP's...
