Has this happened to anyone else after an update? I have the s20 plus and after the update yesterday it showed that and wouldn't go away i called tmobile and they said they never seen this before even a samsung rep said they couldn't help me no one knew what it was. I took the sim out and put it back in same error so I finally restarted my phone since samsung nor tmobile knew what to do and it fixed it. I just hope this doesn't happen with another update or with every update.

One would hope it's a mere glitch, but until further updates, you just won't know, but at least your actions cleared it.

To be safe, make sure any data on the SD card is backed up somewhere else as well, in case this is a warning sign that the card could about to fail or become corrupt.

It depends on what you use your SD card for. If you save precious photos or other important media files, then make sure those photos are copied over to a computer hard drive, or some cloud storage.

All my photos are saved to my phone I have my old s9 plus still that has photos and contacts on there. When I got this phone I mirrored my old phone to this one and everything went over and I still have them on my old phone too

But are the photos saved to Internal Storage or the SD card? The SD card will always be riskier than Internal Storage.

Regardless, it's always a good idea to make sure any important photos are backed up somewhere. Take advantage of Google Photos auto-backup: https://support.google.com/googleone...DAndroid&hl=en

Internal storage. Is it free still for backing up on Google still or do u need to pay?

It's free as long as you choose "High Quality" and not "Original Quality." High quality will reduce photos to 16 megapixel and compress the file somewhat, but I've never been able to tell the difference. If you're a professional photographer, then High Quality might not be good enough, but otherwise, it should be fine.
