You normally use face lock? If you do, if the phone is inactive for 4 hours or every 24 hours I believe then you have to use the more secure login (pattern or password). Search your setting for unlocking with biometrics for the details
Every few hours its a Android security feature, also make sure in Device care u don't have auto restart for optimization onI see this every couple hours or when I wake up in the morning from my sleep. Any reason or any way to get this to not happen so often? Verizon variant. View attachment 322357

All Android phones will do this to some extent for increased security. It happens on my Pixel 3 XL.

Yeah annoying but security featureOh thanks for the tip. No I never liked auto restarts. Im guessing its normal to do that when I wake up or every 4 hours like it says on biometrics settings
You cant get rid of that unless you root.To avoid making another thread. Do you know how to get rid of the "phone is starting" boot up screen? I've searched everywhere and can't find it for S20 Ultra Vzw.

Damn it used to be optional. Disable encryption at start up and gone. That's insane. But at least it takes a lot less time to access the phone than the S10+. Jeeeez Samsung!!
