How to turn off 5g?

I'm trying to turn off 5g on my S20 FE. When I go to connections, mobile network, and network mode there is nothing saying 5g. Only Global, LTE/CDMA, and LTE/GSM. Thoughts?

What carrier you're on? LTECDMA would be for like Verizon global would include the 5G so ticking off the global to one of the others would take it off 5G I would think so either of the LTE depending on the carrier using second Verizon and LTE GSM for others like T-Mobile and AT&t

If your phone is branded AT&T, then I don't think you have the option to turn it off.

I think the bigger question should be ... why would you want to turn of 5G? I don't think you can turn it off on any phone other than putting your phone in airplane mode.

Better battery life and I never get 5g. On Verizon.

Since you mentioned that you are with Verizon, I would personally recommend that you try switching the Network mode from the default Global to the LTE/CDMA. Thst may provide you with the result you are looking for. It all depends on how the 5G is integrated into the settings in your phone.

If the above does not work, then you might search around in the settings on your phone for a specific 5G toggle.
