    Hi,

Just upgraded from an S4 to an S20 fe and so far, I love it except for one glaring thing:
When the alarm goes off, there is this very loud seven note tune/riff that completely ejects me out of sleep and it is terrifically annoying because it is very piercing.
It has nothing to do with the Alarm Sound settings, that I can find and I have deleted and recreated all of my alarms to no avail.
I have done exhausting searches and so far, nobody seems to complain about this but me.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    David

No, I just want the very loud and annoying tune "DO DE DO DO DE DO" not to happen at the beginning of the alarm sound.
I originally noted that it was a seven note tune, but it is only six notes...

Did you already try it in Safe Mode? If it goes away in Safe Mode, that would suggest that some app you installed is causing the problem.

    Safe mode didn't change it.
Also, I have not installed any apps - the phone has all original Verizon apps.

Is this coming from your stock alarm app?

When u go into the alarm app can you choose different tone ?

    Yes.
The sounds do not have the tones when you preview them to select for an alarm sound.

Ok , try resetting the alarm app by long pressing the alarm icon then tap info >scroll to storage select clear data then back out force stop the app

You can adjust the volume of the sound Stop the annoying seven note tune at the beginning of the alarm sound-screenshot_20211122-150042_clock.jpg

This is a longshot, but does this still happen if you turn off NFC?
    11-22-2021 06:48 PM
  19. Davidjbeatty's Avatar
No, I have NFC turned off already.
Also, The six notes are 5 to 10 times louder than any of the alarm sounds, and when I turn the alarm volume down so that the six note tune is bearable, I cannot hear any of the alarm sounds.

You're not using Bixby Alarm, right? www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00083202/

Just in case, make sure that's turned off.

I'm about to wave the white flag of surrender.

Last two general suggestions: First, try a cache partition wipe: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/dev...-galaxy-s20-5g. If that doesn't help, then a factory reset might be the next step.
