How watch videos from last stopped position?

How can I set it, that I can watch videos from the last position I stopped watching them?

The Samsung Video Player used to work with this feature on my Galaxy S8, it could even memorize the time position for several videos simultaneously. But on my new S20 FE 5G all videos keep starting from the very beginning.

It bugs me a lot since this was very useful when I watched long videos. That is to say, who the heck keeps it in mind at what time you stopped watching a video and then scrolls on the time bar to this position again for continuing? Simply too laborious!

Does anybody know how to change Samsung Video Player's behavior to its former glory?

Alternatively, maybe try another video player, like VLC, I think they support this feature.
