Not sure if I have a defective camera or not. I see a discoloration on both side of some of the pictures I have taken with the S20 Ultra. What do you guys think?

Do all the discolorations happen when you're directly facing a light source?

Looks like it. I take the same pics with the Note 10 and never anything like that

Pics facing light sources like that can be tricky. It's most likely a processing issue, not a hardware defect. Hopefully when Samsung releases their magic software update people are clamoring for it'll help your issue as well.

Aurora boreialis?? Just kidding...

If it were a defect, take a pic inside preferable we’ll lit plain white walls and take a shot. I’d think if it were a hardware defect you’ll see that type of distortion in any scenario.

If you don’t it’s software or maybe with that camera bump being so huge... maybe light hitting camera bump on from odd angles causing light refraction to cause sensor read issues??

Does it do the same thing when you aren't shooting into the sun? It looks like an issue but it could be an issue shooting into the sun. Haven't seen that issue before, might be best to exchange it.
