The hardware also supports 48hz. Put it in 720p and 48hz for max battery savings.

    Ewwww

But seriously, I don't know why people would buy a phone with gaudy specs, only to throttle them because they really just wanted a phone with great battery. I mean, that's like buying a Ferrari strictly so you can drive up and down the main Street at 10 mph and be seen. That's not how it was meant to be used.

I'm joking. Lol. I've been using 96hz for like half a week.

How significant are the battery gains? I get about 6-7 SoT, with 3 hours of YouTube and 3 hours of web browsing, texts and emails. That’s at 120hz and letting the phone operate at 100% capacity.

I've been using 96hz since finding it on XDA yesterday morning. Feels like a good mix of smoothness and battery life. It'll never be as nice as 120 but that uses way too much battery life

anyone have any reviews for this version, tht requires no root or Adb? does it mess with anything else in the phone? I only ask because i'm an option ***** who may never use this toggle, but i sleep better at night knowing that if i wanted to, i could set it to this random setting.

Agreed.....not worth my time installing. I don't want to gimp my device turning things off for the sake of battery life. Of course to some that's important. If someone is in the position where it's difficult or impossible to top off, I understand the concern. I don't understand those that have the ability to top off but just don't want to and start sacrificing performance for a bit more battery life.

yeah...i'm only curious because it's the completionist in me. like getting that last PSN trophy for something that's not really worth it, but merely for the sake of saying i did/have it. sad, really.

I didn't try it. I just know the hardware supports it and it can be done using the same way to get 96hz just switch the values.

I mean what's the point? After going 120 and 96, 60 already felt choppy. Lol. Trying 48 would be just torture. Lol.
