McAfee Security

McAfee Security came in with all the other stuff T-Mobile put on my phone. Does anyone use this, is it worth it, should I bother setting it up? If not, what do you all use for device protection apps, if any? I never used any on my last couple of phones. Prior to that I used to use Lookout.

It's there to milk rubes... The only device protection that's worth using is the one that's already provided by Google.

I think antivirus apps are completely extraneous, even the ones from well-known companies -- unless you have bad online habits like visiting shady sites or downloading pirated material.

I enable it. It's free and has no noticeable performance penalty, so might as well.

Same. Doesn't hurt, my phone runs fine with anti virus so I use it.

It's on the unlocked phones too, installed by Samsung. (At least that's the case for the US S22Us.) I wouldn't have enabled it otherwise.

I don't use it. My VPN is from Nord.
