S3 Root error - Green Android with Gears

I tried rooting my Samsung Galaxy S3 yesterday, and everything seemed to work fine.
Once the phone rebooted, and I put in my encryption password, the image above appears.

I can get into recovery and I can get into download mode, but none of the downloads I have tried will restore functionality.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. You need to find a working factory restore for your device model (there are many versions). Find that and restore it through Odin. If it doesn't work then there's likely an issue with a corrupt partition not taking the update. If this is the case you might be out of luck.
