4.1.2 Issue on Emergency Call waking up the screen

I use to put my cellphone on my pants front pocket. Occasionally the Home button got pressed by accident and the screen would wake and somehow something touched the emergency call icon then open the dial pad. Its an issue that has been discussed alot in this forum and I can manage by turn on the swipe feature. But there is another issue, after I cancel the emergncy call and the screen back to its pattern lock display...THE SCREEN WONT TURN OFF until I push the side button. But everytime I woke the screen I had to push the side button to make it off. It will back to normal after I Restart the phone.
Is it a fault in programming, or is it the Samsung Mini?
