syncing phone to desktop calendar and dropbox

Syncing only works one way, from desktop to phone. Can anyone help me to sync in the opposite direction?

Most likely explanation is that your phone has a mixture of "on device" stuff and Google account stuff. The google account and desktop sync, but the "on device" items in your phone do not. You need to copy or export what's on the phone into your google account, and make the google account the default place where you put new calendar items, contacts, etc. In the calendar, for example, you have to uncheck "my calendar".
