how do I put a new latest operating system on my standard android 4.1.2 samsung s3 mini?
I would like an updated nice working os on my samsung mini but dont know how to do it? Do I need to do a custom ROM on it too? If so, how and what is probably the best working one for my device? Please help? Thanx.

Welcome to Android Central! You'd have to root the phone and find a custom Lollipop ROM designed for that phone. Here's one way to root: [Root] One click root for Galaxy S3 Mini | Samsung Galaxy S III Mini | XDA Forums. You could also try Towelroot. Once rooted, try installing CM 12: [ROM][5.0.2] CyanogenMod 12.0 [stable: 20150… | Samsung Galaxy S III Mini | XDA Forums
