Are there any benefit from pre ordering from best buy compared to Verizon? My friend says their insurance is better...?

Yes the black tie protection is a good insurance, I like it better than the Sprint tep program which has a 100 dollar deductible and a limit of 3 per year. Not sure what Verizon offers. As soon as you bring a broken phone to best buy they will give you a loaner phone then either try to fix yours or give you a replacement with no deductible.

The only good thing about Sprint, that Best buy doesn't do is cover lost phone. Sprint will cover one lost phone per year with a deductible, Best Buy does not.

From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!

I called my local BB, and was told that they might not offer the $50 free gift card like they did for the HTC Evo 4 G LTE.

If that is the case, I will just wait to see who has a better pre order offer...

BB was having a promotion awhile ago that if you registered a phone number they will give you a $50 gift card when you upgrade that number. You had to the end of the year to do it. I registered 3 phones.

Who determines when they (i.e BB) release the phone to their customers who pre-ordered? BB or the carrier? After reading in another post that VZW expected ship date is July 9th while people who've pre-ordered from BB is showing estimated date of June 28, I am wondering if BB can release it before the VZW ship date.

My upgrade date at Best Buy shows the same as with Sprint. Is that just a Verizon thing? Sprint let's you upgrade at 22 months, 2 months before contract end and Best Buy honors that.

Has anyone pre-ordered the 32gb model at Bestbuy??? My understanding is that they are only pre-ordering the 16gb models. This is the ONLY reason I'm not pre-ordering yet. I want the 32gb. My upgrade isn't until July 1st so I'm forced to wait this out and I'm not paying Sprint $45 to buy out my contract to get it early!!!....I can wait 9 freakin days!!! I just hope they're not sold out of Blue 32gb models by July 1st.

The 32GB model is not showing up in the system. I preordered the 16gb with hopes that by the time they gt their inventory in, the 32GB mode is available too. The impression I got when I preordered Tuesday is they had no idea that there are two versions. I would go through Sprint but I have giftcards and reward certificates to use. I'd rather have 32gb on-board memory as opposed to adding a 16gb sdcard. The SIII is still not showing up on the website for preorder but i'm thinking when it does, they'll get the 32gb. I'm going to hold off picking it up until I know for sure.
