Gmail sync

Hello!

I had Galaxy s2 and s1 and gmail sync worked great. Now I have S3 for one week and sync with GMAIL just isnt working as it should. I get notifications every few hours instead of maybe with a few minutes delay...if I press the sync button I get the mail, if I dont, I can sometimes wait for hours, sometimes just a few minutes...

Is anyone having the same problems and maybe knows how to fix this?

I've been having some issues with sync.

I'll read emails or delete emails on gmail.com and light notification stops but the M still stays in the corner.

Very frustrating, especially since I came from an ATRIX 2 that would dismiss immediately after I read or deleted on gmail.com.

no problem here either...do you have sync turned on? if you dont, that might be responsible for the delays

Sometimes deleting and reestablish ing the account clears such up.

I have the same problem. If i restart the phone it will be ok for a few days then the problem will come back.

So I just did a factory wipe and reset of the entire phone and it seems to have cured the problem.

Have you tried that yet?

I removed my gmail account then added it back. That seems to have fixed it for now. We'll see if it holds up.
