Seems HTC was able to make whites actually be white on their amoled display. Can't Samsung fix the white balance?

The One X is SLCD2. AMOLED screens have always had the blue tent at low brightness levels.
Thats the One S not the X
Google and every review tend to disagree. HTC isn't using amoled screens on the One series devices which is why people bring up the pentile argument when comparing the SIII and the One X.
Different kernels (at least for the GNex) have color/gamma settings. You can correct that screen very, very quickly. I presume the same will be true with the SIII.
