Gmail account stopped working on phone

I would get notifications right away, and emails. But now it completely stopped. I removed it and added it and nothing comes through since my emails early this morning even though there are new ones there. It pulls down all the emails till that morning period but nothing of the new ones after that! Any ideas why?

Amazing, no responses. Well I was able to jump start it again, but hopefully it stays this time. :/

IF you are referring to the GMAIL APP and not the stock email program its because the latest update for some reason doesnt work with notifications well.
You have to "remove update" and use the version that came with the S3.
Works for me. If you update, then no dice...
