Not that good. I didn't use it much and it is now down to 36%. It's only slightly better than my Droid X.

I've been getting horrible battery life lately. When I go to the office it drains so fast, i'll be down 40% by lunchtime, with no usage (or little usage). Cell Standby has been the culprit. However, I'm wondering if Wifi is really to blame? Last half of the day I turned off Wifi (there are a lot of signals I can latch on to in my building, but all are password protected), and I got better battery life. Now at home I've had it on for 2 hours after a full recharge, a little bit of music playing, and I'm still at 99% battery. So I'm wondering if it's something to do with all the wifi signals in the office building and the phone trying to latch on to them, but unable to connect to any of them. THat's the only difference between home and work....oh, and I changed the S Voice settings today too, to turn off the "auto on" with a voice command, since I had heard that can also reduce your battery (didn't solve my work issue, until the wifi was turned off too).

Thinking about doing Tasker on this, so I can have it check for location, and turn Wifi off if at the office, or just not at home or an approved location. Was out at a restaurant last night, and lost 20% of battery there, without any usage.

when I first got it, I left used it until 8% and charged it fully. yielded 13hrs on full battery.

Now iam charging it from letting it completely die, eager to see it now......

wasn't there a trick to reduce something from 5.0 to .5? i forgot where I read about this setting change...?

Wifi is killing my battery now. For whatever reason it constantly connects and downloads a tiny bit of data every second. If I'm on 3g this doesn't happen... Annoying as heck and I can't trace it to any apps that only sync on wifi

I used to have a GNEX with the extended battery which is the same size battery as in the S3 and I am getting about twice the life out of the S3. about 12-16 hours on the GNEX and a full 24-30 hours on the S3.

This includes a good 9 hours on Big Red's LTE, full screen brightness, checking 3 email accounts every 15-30 minutes, about 20 minutes web browsing and a few app games if I have the time a day.

for me the batter life is good...AFTER i do a restart the morning after a full charge. I wake up and take it off the charger then head out..45 minutes later its at 89%!! so i restarted it and it woke up at 88% and its been going strong since yesterday morning. I dont mind the restart i just wish i knew what was killing the battery as soon as i take it off the charger.

My battery life has been great for the most part. Usually have anywhere between 32-45% at the end of the day depending upon how much a use it and receive texts.

Same thing happened to me, just lke you I hadn't even used the app but for some reason it started running and keeping hte phone awake. I force-closed the Gallery and that was it. But I don't know why Gallery started running in the first place nor why it kept the phone in an Awake state.
