I use My Backup Pro to backup my Verizon s3. The default setting backs up data to the internal memory. If you want to backup your data to your micro SD card, you have to enter the following string, under settings, Backup location, when you open My Backup Pro:

The external sdcard path is /mnt/extSdCard <--- case sensitive.

Thanks for the tip. I can't believe it was actually case sensitive, but it is! I was getting concerned about how I was going to restore my 1000+ contacts into the new S3 phone; now all is well

cool thanks for that mate. i bought MyBackup for a previous phone but wasnt sure if it would work with the storage system of thd s3
