Flashing roms

Hi guys,I'm new to the android scene and have recently rooted my international Samsung galaxy s3 using Odin.i then flashed my phone with the omega rom by downloading to my pc ,transferring to phone via USB and installing In the usual manner.my question is:
Can I download another rom direct to my phone storage from the Internet and just flash it from there?

I don't see why not?

thats how it used to work with phones with an sd card but the s3's internal memory is named "sd card" so im not sure that it would work now. im not sure but i think the rom has to be saved to the root of "sd card" but on the s3, "sd card" will be wiped with a reset. could be wrong though man
