Oh, there's a ton of those floating around.

The ones I HATE are the "Like if you love you're grandmother, ignore if you want her to die" (replace with puppies, kittens, mother's... Whatever), or "Like if you hate cancer, ignore if you don't care."

I'm not in the S3 league and the age thing doesn't bother me too much as I'm over 70 and just starting to get interested in Android. I've owned an HTC Desire for a year but only for the phone and text so far. Just starting to get linked up and looking at what else it can do, so the complete opposite of Geek!

Main reason is that Im' looking at Tablets and decided (almost) that the Android rout was the way to go rather than i-pad. Not into games or twitter type things, but want to have a good photograph display, so 10" quality screen is important and with chance to extend with USB and SSD.

Hope you don't mind me chipping in on you S3 chatter, only just joined the forum and not sure if there is another chatter that I should be on. Hope you get some more activity from S3 owners.

Hows the Geek weather up there? We have had a bit of your snow down hear in Birmingham..... that's UK !

Well my baby is going in for a complete makeover. Just had the tranny and motor rebuilt. I have converted the front brakes to Power disc brakes. It is now going in for Paint and body. I am having all the chrome and stainless steel redone so it can be ready to cruise by summer!

I am going to keep it white, and maybe do some "ghost pearl flames" on the front hood/fenders. The inside I am going to have redone in original black and white .

Music nerd here. all I know is that it's a ford escort gt, 1989, straight four, I believe. My dad got it for me as my first car (240 bucks, found it sitting on an empty field) it's been in a couple wrecks before i got it. I know because when I sanded to bare metal for the first coat of primer ( yes, I am rattle canning it) i started sanding through bond-o.

that's the hood design. Red will be black.

Very cool. I still remember my first car, had to rebuild the the motor with my dad (73 vw bug) good memories. I have also done the spray can paint job! One day you will look back and remember with a smile!

Funny you guys are discussing restoring and redoing old vehicles. I was just looking through some old vehicle websites, and wishin' that I still had a few of my old pickup trucks. Don't know what got me thinking about them.

I used to have a 46' & 47' 1/2 ton (actually was given another [13] or so of them, from 1/2 ton up to 2 ton?due to same cab, by farmers/ranchers?while bird hunting, fly-fishing and/or just scouting for old truck parts?over a several year period whilst I was restoring the 46' & 47'). Then also had a 100% original, un-restored 48' Ford F1 (the first year of the F1, bought from original owner), and my fav... a 100% original, un-restored 52' Mercury M2 w/ the Marmon-Herrington 4x4 conversion (also bought from original owner)! That's the one I really wish I would've kept.

Oh well.
