I don't see too many Apple fans. I just see a lot of people get slammed for actually recognizing Apple. Apparently when you activate you Android device, there's something in the terms and conditions that says you have to be an Apple hater.

Glad there are some that are above that.

In the end, it's all business. We are all arguing over companies whose main goal is to take our money.

Ry, its like going to a bar where everyone knows your name (cheesy, I know, lol) and relating to similar things. This is an Android forum, I think. So many damn Apple threads I'm not sure anymore! Of course they're going to talk glowingly and positively about Android and how great and/or better it is over Apple! I just don't understand why you feel the need to defend and get so worked up defending an Apple product, here! I don't even defend Android here the way you defend Apple so I give you props! If it bothers you that much, why read the threads or even be here. I know I wouldn't want to be at a bar where I didn't like anyone because they didn't understand me. Regardless, I have nothing but love for you, even though you love the enemy!

Not sure why guys continue to start Apple-related threads but when I see a thread I want to comment in, I will.

Some of the reasons people give for Android being better than the iPhone are quite ridiculous. It's like "if people actually did their homework and research, they would see the specs on this big Android phone and realize it would be perfect for them".

People aren't dumb for choosing the iPhone and to even insinuate that is pretty damn naive and further reinforces a blind fanboy stereotype.

The iPhone exists. Some people like it. Some people prefer it. Get over it. Be better than those iPhone fanboys.

I will probably never purchase any Apple product for myself but since I don't post like a fanboy here, you probably wouldn't believe me. I don't use my phone a status symbol to show how much better I am.

It has something to so with them trying to ban products that I like to buy in an attempt to make me use their inferior products. However, they certainly haven't offended me to such an extent that I've felt the need to make an account on Imore and launch a crusade defending Android.

I'm going to be honest here but this kind of mentality is what keeps generating so much damn hate over absolutely nothing. They're phones, PHONES. No one is punching puppies or kicking kittens. All they're doing is buying a phone and using a phone. The smugness comes from both sides and these continuous drummed up conversations are getting tiresome. In the end who really cares. Reading through a lot of forums, and postings I have noticed a common trend. Many people (myself included) simply do not like the practices of Apple as a company. This would be a fair and accurate statement. But the animosity towards such a company would not normally be warranted unless they as a company had personally done something to you or one of your beloved devices, this statement could probably also be considered fair and accurate (I would assume from experience). This leaves us with their loyal fans, a.k.a. "fan-boys." Yes this is where I hold the most disgust, with them as a company. The mindless droves that line up to buy the new iphone 5 simply because it is an apple product. Lets be honest, the iphone 5 I am sure is a great phone, probably can not deny that given apple's history of products. Yes apple does make excellent products, its their tight grip and control over their products that most android users can not stand.


I must admit I hate the fan-boys more than apple itself. As I said I am sure the iphone 5 is a great phone, but it honestly is not that big of an improvement over the 4s, it really isn't. Yet droves of loyal fans line up and sell the phone out in a matter of hours, crash web sites with online ordering, and go on and on about getting one. Yes, is it fair to ask you readers of Android central that your number one reason for not liking apple, is because of the way their customer base behaves? It is my number one reason, I can not count the number of times I have heard people talking about their devices and make totally false statements. I am in the tech field (full time student Networking Systems Administrator) I keep up on all techy stuff because I love too, it fascinates me. Even my own brother (a huge apple fan) admits part of his like for apple's products is he feels that owning one is a status symbol. A way of saying "I can afford ridiculously expensive things."

For me its the customers they do give off an aurora of I'm better than you simply because I have an iphone. Most of them don't even know about the phone as a whole except the name of it. I have had many debates ANDROIDS v iphone, and I always win with the same statement "show me what your phone can do that mine can't". I'm still waiting.
