Is anyone using Chrome over the stock browser? I am trying it out but it seems slower and the lack of flash is disappointing.

try Maxathon browser mate. its best ive found for the s3 ;)

p.s i find Chrome too slow too.. i really wanted to like it as im a google fanboy.
why dont they make a browser like Opera Mini which uses servers to condense data making it much faster and use less of your data allowance??
surely Google could do that better than Opera?

I've found Dolphin Browser HD to be the best so far. (Not sure if it works any better or worse on the S3 though as I have an Evo.)

yeah im not sure if id miss flash much (i dont do porn)
i found firefox nice n fast but the bookmark system sucks and the full-screen add-on didnt work.. maxathon has full screen built in, bookmarks are easier to manage, once u realise theyre called Favourites, and it renders pages faster than firefox.
it also has "wap" mode which i havent tested yet but would be good for people with a data limit i think :)

I've tried to like the Firefox browser so hard but Dolphin just does it better. Which sucks cause FF is by far the best PC browser.

I tried the maxathon one but it's not for me. I really wanted to like chrome. The integration with the desktop version sounded like a great idea. But it is slow compared to the stock browser. Plus the lack of flash and full screen sucks. I have gotten accustomed to quick controls. I do like the unlimited tabs but that's not a good enough reason to switch.

I've been using Dolphin HD over the stock or Firefox, but then again I'm still running Gingerbread and haven't gotten the chance to try Chrome out yet. :p

What does stock mean?

I use Chrome on my phone, I like it bettet than the Internet Browser thingy the phone came with. I like using Chrome on my S3. I am coming from a platform where the browsing experience was terrible. I'm just amazed to view a full web page on this thing without struggling.

Stock means it came pre-installed on the phone out of the box.

Long time Firefox user here - switched to Chrome on PC and Android for the bookmark/tab sync and the "Chrome to Phone" app. Amazing features - enough for me to ditch Firefox (mostly).

I still use the stock browser once in awhile when I need flash but Chrome seems fine to me.

did the full screen add-on work for you on firefox android mate? with me, every time i restarted the browser, it vanished from menu... that was final straw lol :)

did you get same problem as me where both the desktop and the mobile browser gave a sync code so there was nowhere to enter it??
