I downloaded Gsam to monitor which apps are using my battery but when I hit the home button, there is the Gsam battery icon on the top left of the notification bar. There isn't an option in the menu to Exit out of the app nor will it close or go away when I kill it with by holding down home to bring up the recent apps list and swiping left to kill it. How do I get rid of it so that it's not running in the background and sucking up battery?

it doesnt use much battery and without it running in background, its useless as it cant "learn" your average battery use so may as well uninstall it but you can go to settings, app manager, gsam, force stop ;)

..on my phone it uses 0.1% battery lol ;)

Um, I think may have a setting thats off on my S3 GSam is useing a lot of power. Iam assuming that a setting is off or i havent let it go long enough, i downloaded it this morning. As you can see its 20%, is it because iam using the gsam as a widget?

Gsam tends to use a lot of power when youre in the actual app. it doesnt use much as a widget.
you had only used 20% battery so did you spend much of that time playing around in Gsam?
