Extra Line in Email Signature GS3

I've created a signature on an Exchange account in the default mail app. It's adding an extra line that I can't get rid of. There is no extra line in the actual signature but when I create a new message there is my cursory, two lines, then my signature. I can remove it manually in each message but that's a hassle because I email a lot. Why is it there and how do I get ride of it?? Little things like that drive me nuts. Thanks in advance.

Jeff, you're right on with this and I haven't found a way to fix this either. I am running a Samsung Note 4 and the same problem is happening. It's a major pain to delete the extra line brakes each time.
I create the signature and when I compose a new email, it does show up, but there are three extra line brakes. Trying to look consistent, I'm having to delete the additional line brakes every time I write a new email.
If anyone has a fix, we would be grateful.
