Camera shortcut change not saving

Do you know what I should do to have the camera shortcuts that I've updated to be saved? Whenever I close the app, and re-open, it resets back to the default setting. Clearly a bug but wondering if there is a walkaround.

If you're referring to the stock camera app then I think you're SOL. A few of the settings seem to be saved (ex. Storage) between sessions, but it looks like most of them aren't. I'd suggest using a different application - here are a few you could look at:

i used Zoom Fx for a while. do u still get zero lag with 3rd party cam apps?

The ability to edit the s3 camera shortcuts would be awesome... Except you have to do it every time you open the camera app (after fully closing the app, or powering down the phone).
I have tried several popular camera apps, but they eventually cause conflicts when using the gallery.
I hope future bug fixes address this issue.

I have not found that to be the case - I just switched around a couple of the shortcuts, powered the phone off completely and after I powered back on the shortcuts were still where I put them (4.3, VRUCML1).
