Hello, this is my first time posting, and I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong section. Yesterday, after noticing that I was due for an upgrade on my AT&T account, I decided to go and buy the GS3. When I got home, I noticed that it was marked as the "SPH-L710" in the about section in the settings. From experience, I know that this is the model number for the Sprint Galaxy S3.

I was wondering if any of you know of AT&T selling some of the Sprint models, or anything like that. The phone does have a SIM card slot, which is peculiar for a Sprint phone.

I've never heard of anything like that, after 20+ years w/ Verizon & pre-Verizon, and the last two w/ AT&T.

What kind of store did you buy it at? An AT&T store? Or one of the many 'stores' that sell AT&T? If you bought it from a Best Buy / Radio Shack / Costco / Sams Club / Walmart ? type of store ? they probably sold you a GS3 that someone had returned ? but sold you the wrong carrier model... but that doesn't make sense, coz how could AT&T activate a Sprint phone?

That sounds extremely strange. Is it working fine on the network? I wonder if it were refurbished at some point and placed with the wrong casing or sticker via Samsung. Go exchange it if you're feeling uncomfortable with it. It would suck if at some point you decide to put a custom rom on it and brick it because you're not sure which specific rom you need.
