How to forward SMS messages to Google Voice?

I have Verizon and part of my plan is unlimited texts. I've tried a couple of the texting apps, but have been frustrated with them (see other thread). So, I want to use Google Voice for texting. While I do have a Google Voice number, I don't actively use it. What I would like to do is the following:

*Have texts sent to my Verizon phone # sent/handled by Google voice.
*When I then reply or send texts back, I want my Verizon # to be the outgoing (so the person receiving isn't confused by a Google Voice number, since practically no one knows mine)

It's basically what the other apps such as GOSMS and Handcent do already, but I want Google Voice to handle it (and not use my Google Voice # in the send/replies in the process)

Can this be done, and if so, how?

Yeah pretty much.

That app looks like it uses the stock messaging app to integrate the native sms and google voice texts. I want the Google Voice app to be my main app that sends / receives native sms.
