Nothing works samsung galaxy s3

I updated my Samsung S3 i9300 with my Kies App on my Mac the install failed and now my phone is stuck on Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode. My phone does not go into recovery my phone connects to kiss but the app doesnt help or woe with my phone... i have download numerous apps on my mac and non work with my system suck as Heimdall Suite , Odin307 and eclipse. i tried Android SDK Manager but i dont know how to use it someone help me my phone is got my whole work life on it

Can you boot into download mode (power down, home, power - then volume up)?

no my phone doesn't boot using that step it just powers on and off and gives the same message

If you can't access either download or recovery, then I think you're hosed. If this happened trying to install a legitimate carrier update, then I'd take it back to the carrier and ask them to fix or replace it.
