    I am trying to run the MyFirstApp tutorial from developer.android.com from Eclipse on Windows 7. When I try to run on my Samsung Galaxy 3 device the application seems to run OK but nothing seems to happen. I have also tried running the same application on a virtual emulator, once again where nothing seems to happen. Trying to work out out how to run my Android applications.

    Here is the code in MainActivity.java:
    Code:
    package com.example.myfirstapp;

    import android.app.Activity;
    import android.os.Bundle;
    import android.view.Menu;

    public class MainActivity extends Activity {

    	@Override
    	protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    		super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    		setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
    	}

    	@Override
    	public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) {
    		// Inflate the menu; this adds items to the action bar if it is present.
    		getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.main, menu);
    		return true;
    	}

    }

    You might get better assistance in the forum that supports that dev code tutorial...
