How do you save camera settings on the GS3?

The stock camera settings on my GS3 are horrid. I "upgraded" from a iPhone 4 and have been very disappointed with the camera on the GS3. The resolution is excellent, however it washes everything out and is too bright. I have to fiddle with the ISO and exposure settings to get it to deepen color instead of whitening it. Is there a way to save the changes I make to the camera settings? I usually clear the active apps everyday to prevent battery drain, but whenever I do, the settings revert back to the auto-stock settings. I want to be able to pull my phone out and snap without having to fiddle with the settings. Any other camera apps that do this would be great too. I'm open to suggestions.

1. If you stop killing the active apps you won't have a problem with the stock Camera app losing the settings that you've made
2. You're mistaken in your belief that killing the apps will make a difference in your battery life - read through the numerous threads about battery life and memory usage if you need an explanation
3. There's a gazillion camera apps out there - I'm sure if you try some you'll come across one that meets your needs, particularly if you stop killing the app after you've made changes to it:
