external SD card cannot be written to, only read...

Hello, weird problem. Can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem. I can see a lot of problems where their galaxy s3 can't see the external sd card. but that's NOT my problem.

I can read my card, access it, etc. But i can't even change a folder name using Astro on my external sd. I attach it to my computer, from my phone to my mac, that is, and using android file transfer, i can't even write a file to it.

seems to transfer fine using my Old Droid Incredible, though!

WEIRD.

anyone else?

Any suggestions?

Hoping that when i flash a new rom this gets fixed somehow...

thanks. thing is... like, i can unmount it, and then reinsert it, power cycle, and then it works again. kinda. i used to be able to write to it all the time, no problem.

Are you running the stock ROM?
What brand of SDCard is it?
Have you tried a different SDCard? I mean, you can practically find these things at Circle K for $5 - it would at least tell you if it's the card or phone.
Have you tried reformatting it in the phone?

I flashed a rom and after the reset, out seemed to fix itself. Thanks!
