If you notice closely, scrolling pages seem smoother on the stock android browser and seems to be pretty bad on Chrome. This is very rarely spoken about since most browser reviews speak about the javascript performance (think test like sunspider) which is completely different from the scrolling and zooming performance which has almost nothing to do with Javascript.

Check out this benchmark at BrowserBench - Real world mobile browser benchmark and you'll be shocked on how much slower Chrome and Firefox are compared to the other browsers - which you might have been blaming till now on your device or ROM.

For me, I have decided to stick with Dolphin (with Jetpack installed) for an ultra-smooth experience and better features than the stock android browser.

I find the stock browser really laggy with multiple tabs open. Chrome accomplishes this much better for me. :what:

I stopped using Chrome because of several problems with it. Just use the stock browser now.

Beware of Google Chrome's scroll performance-uploadfromtaptalk1376258576402.jpgToo bad that web page generates the following error.

And unfortunate that in order to view your own benchmark you have to post to Facebook or Twitter - useless for me since I don't use any of that.
