I was just (Fall) cleaning and came across files in my root that look like this....

Ping_1361718827760-81906

...I have 11 of them with varying numbers and dates from 2/24/13 to 2/26/13. Can I erase them??

P.S.: I'm NOT rooted.

You won't be able to delete anything in the root directory without being rooted.

I already deleted them, lol! They were in my 'Phone' directory....is that the root directory?!?! I'm assuming that they must of been temp files created by some app. I just hope it doesn't mess anything up!

Heh heh - no the 'Phone' directory is not the root directory; tools don't even allow you to see the root directory unless you're rooted.

Android paths can be rather confusing since many paths are mapped to specific names which have no bearing on their actual location in the filesystem.
