How can I save image/video thumbnails to external storage on my android device?

Although the image and video directories of my galaxy s3 device were respectively set to
Code:
storage/exSdCard/DCIM/Camera
and
Code:
storage/exSdCard/DCIM/Video
it seems that image and video thumbnails are saved to
Code:
storage/sdcard0/DCIM/.thumbnails
by default on the contrary of
Code:
storage/exSdCard/DCIM/.thumbnails

The images and videos are saved to proper locations but their thumbnails are always saved to the system generated default location of internal storage (sdcard0) card in lieu of external storage card (exSdCard).

The problem wasn't solved even after I moved the camera from system->app to data->app and DCIM folder from internal storage sdcard0 to external storage exSdCard.

Any idea or resolution?

Thanks,

Without rooting your phone I don't think there is a solution - sorry.

Really a great app that serves the purpose perfectly though it refuses to unlink / unpin the pair until I rebooted my device once after installation.

There are similar apps in the Google Play Store, and probably some that are only on XDA. Hope it works well enough for you.
