Samsung Galaxy S3 Extended Battery 4800mah

I bought my Galaxy S3 1 year and 6 months ago. I started having problems with my normal 2100mah battery. I would charge it but the battery drained faster day after day. So I decided to buy an extended battery, and it brought me to the 4800mah battery. After I charged the battery I started using my phone. I thought the battery wouldn't drain quickly, but it did. It drains quicker than the original 2100mah battery in the begining. Here's my question: is there anyway to check if the battery is in fact 4800mah or if I've just been tricked?

I'm not aware of any simple way to check the battery capacity. But it sounds like you've got something running on your phone which is draining the battery rapidly. We need data to figure out what. Start by charging your phone to 100% and unplugging it. (That resets the battery stats.) Now use it normally until the battery is down below 50%, and take some screen captures of the three screens shown in post #3 of this thread:

Post those screen captures here, so we can try to determine what might be the real cause of the problem.

There's an indirect method - run the battery down to about 15%, then turn the phone off completely and connect the stock charger (which provides 1,000mA/h) - it should take about four hours to fully charge the battery (4,800 - 4080 [85%] = 720mA, leaving an ~4,000mA deficit, which should take ~4h @ 1,000mA/h; if you're using a 750mAh charger it should take about 5.4 hours.)
