Photos emailed from Galaxy S3 won't open on laptop after Android upgrade

My phone received 4.3 upgrade over the weekend. I can email photos, but they are now in an "unsupported format" when I try to open them on my laptop. The file extension still says .jpg so I don't know what's happened. Someone please help! This is a serious problem for me.

Well, I think that .jpg extension is just fine every photo viewer app as well as software supports it, :O have you tried opening those emails at some other system ?? the idea behind telling you to check it in opening it in some other account is it will help you in understanding where the problem, if this problem is device specific then you would know it, if still the problem persist then try opening those pictures in some other software like picasa or some other photo viewing app.
