Why am I not able to open email attachments anymore?

Cannot open email attachments anymore.

Hello,

I have a Samsung galaxy S3. This message keeps coming up every time I try to open an email attachment. This only started today and I could open attachments normally before.

''An application attempted to access system on your device without authorisation. this attempt has been blocked. Deleting applications obtained from unauthorised sources may improve security''

I do not have an anti-virus installed and the phone is encrypted (has been for some time now) but the problem only started today.

Any ideas How I can stop this and open the attachments please? Thanks in advance.

Did your phone recently get updated to 4.4.x?
What email app are you using?
Do you have an SD card installed?
Are you using a 3rd party application to save the files?
