Why am I not able to switch between languages on my S3?

S3 - Problem Switching Language

have set up the Samsung Galaxy S3 Keyboard with 2 languages: English (UK) and Arabic. The manual says I can switch between the languages by swiping the space bar key but that doesn't work. When I swipe, nothing happens. Both languages are showing the Samsung Keyboard settings section and both are checked.

Any ideas?

Check my screenshot below.
Do you have the input languages to the ones you want?

In my case, I have English and Spanish.
Both work without sliding the space bar because my keyboard is set to learn how I "write".
But the space bar works if I slide it to either side.

You could reset the settings for the keyboard, restart the phone and try again to see if that helps.
