Galaxy S3 LCD problems

Hello everybody,

My cousin recently told me that her LCD was broken... here's a picture of it:



Does it look like I need a LCD and digitizer replacement for the phone? Thanks.

It sure looks like it. Not sure if the digitizer is separate from the screen--if the screen is still registering touches normally, and if the digitizer is separate, then you probably just need the screen.

And if you can replace the screen without mucking up the digitizer, you're a heck of a lot better at it than most other people.

The effect is getting worse now... I guess I will just buy a whole damn kit, such as this:

I had done two ipad glass replacements without damaging anything... never tried repairing on a phone yet. I will everything goes well.

Not too sure if I should even bother fixing the phone, since the price of the Galaxy S3 is getting around $200 these days. Not sure if I should even spend $90 on a replacement...

An excellent point. You could get something like a Moto G brand new for about that much money, and it's probably a far better phone in many respects.
