Something is trying to load but keeps closing before it opens ? Also USB connection won't work

My S3 keeps trying to load an app or something but as it opens, it is a blue screen of some sort possibly a weather app ? it was the Telstra navigation app to start with but I have rooted my phone and deleted that as it was a Telstra system item that I was unable to delete before. There is a noise that plays when it try's to open and it used to display the driving mode in the top corner before I deleted the navigation app now it just plays the sound.

Also I can't get the phone to connect on USB since I rooted my phone ?

I used CF auto root to root my phone
samsung GT-I9300T m0du m0 smdk4x12 exynos4 IMM76D.I9300TDUBLH1 4.0.4

My Phone tells me I am running Android 4.3 ( I though I had upgraded with the root but maybe I am wrong ? ) and I am using Nova launcher premium if this helps at all.

Any help would be great

I have been trying a few things...... It seems that the root is not taking to the phone. I used root checker and I don't have super SU on the phone.
What am I missing? I think it might be the build of the phone is wrong for the root kit ?
