Why don't I get a signal, no service, for 100 miles in Montana where other phones receive signal?

i get no signal no service for 100 miles in montana where other phones receive signal

my s3 tracphone goes to no service for about 100 miles in montana is there anything I can try

Are the other phones that do get service also Tracfones? If not, I suspect the carrier your phone works on does not have service in that area, one of the downfalls of using that service (though I understand some people have no choice in the matter).

Different carriers use different technologies and it looks like what carrier your Tracfone is on depends on what device you have. That being the case, you could have 2 Tracfones but only one gets service because one is on AT&T and the other is on Verizon.
