Samsung Galaxy S3 purple screen, how can I get rid of it?

Samsung Galaxy S3 purple screen

I have a galaxy s3 and a puple blotch showed up in the corner of my screen. Within a couple of hours the screen went from purple to blue to black. No light comes fron the screen at all. I tried restarting it, turning it off cometely, and replcing the battery. None of it has worked. It has been dropped a few times but not recently.
