Don't use that!!
If its something minor a factory reset will do just fine :3 (tho this will delete all your data)

I don't know what do you mean by broken software but you need to give us more details or at least show us whats wrong with the device and please don't attempt to do this unless you understand the risks you're taking by attempting to fix it yourself.
But if it's not willing to boot you can flash firmware through Odin!
