Terrible battery life?

I returned one Active because of GPS issues - no apps could get a GPS lock without stopping/starting the GPS service. But I'd noticed my battery life was pretty weak with that phone, too. The new one can't make it through a full day - sometimes not even 8 hours. Bluetooth is always off and today i killed GPS after my 1 hour walk - during which, of course, I use the GPS with a pedometer app.
Shouldn't I be getting more life outta my battery? Or should I just get a spare?

This is average for me.... I get about 1.3-3 hours of on screen time.... I had a battery drain in the past but once I located it and fixed it my battery life has been awesome!

I recommend rooting, debloating, and use greenify to hybernate apps you dont need running all day. Use a battery monitoring app to see apps that are killing your battery
