s4 active just quit working after recieving a call

my s4 active will not do anything after ending a call 15 minutes prior

Welcome to Android Central! You mean it's frozen? Can you reboot it? If it's frozen, then press and hold Power for about 10 seconds, which will force a power off. Pull the battery for 10 seconds, for good measure. Now power on again. See if the problem happens again.

its not frozen its like the battery is dead but it is fully charged when you call it its like its still on but its totally non responsive the screen is black

Sorry, that's not entirely clear to me. So the phone is completely unresponsive? If someone calls your phone, does it ring, or does it stay silent?

If the phone seems completely dead, then it's possible the battery failed. Defective batteries can fail at any time, so I would try a new battery.

no the phone does not ring and i tried 2 other batteries

Uh-oh. It's beginning to sound like a bigger hardware failure. You may have to contact Samsung.
