Other party cannot hear me when using Skype

Whenever I make or receive a call, I can hear the other party fine, but they cannot hear me. I was also told that what they hear sounds sped up to the point that they cannot make out what I'm saying. Subsequent to that, I did the sound test and the playback was indeed sped up way past the point of being understandable (like a chipmunk voice on steroids).

I am using a Samsung Galaxy s4 Active running Lollipop 5.0.1. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Oh, my microphone settings are fine as VOIP services work fine with other apps.
